There's a rumor goin' 'round death row.

Here, have some fanart for Superjail. Ignore the random wolf head drawn in one, and the random dates and notes drawn on others. These came out of my sketchbook for an animation course, so there are a few out of place things.

I've become completely fascinated with the art and animation style for this show. It is very "stream of conciousness" styled, and full of so many well-executed animation references as well as very complicated sequences of animation. You can't not appreciate it. To top all of that off, it is completely done in flash, which blows my mind because it NEVER has the look of a flash cartoon. keep it up, Augenblick studios.

Maya work: Here thar be monsters

This is the original painting that the following dragon model was based off of.

These are all involving a fish model I had to make from primitives. Some are lighted, some are just colored:

This is a test involving wrapping a photoshop image around an object in maya. I chose a photo of a wolf skull to wrap around a sphere:

Flour Sack Smackdown

Some of you may have already seen this, but for the record, I think it should go here since it's one of my better animations to date:

The prompt for our final was to have a flour sack character (who was to be animated a little bit like Carpet from Aladdin) approach a box, look inside the box, and react to the contents of the box.

The timing on my walk/run cycle at the beginning when he jogs up to the box is a bit off and lacking some weight, but other than that I'm quite happy with the result. From quick storyboards to pencil tests to the final product, this animation took two weeks and a grossly large stack of animation paper. Animation students kill the rainforest. :V

Testing the blogger waters

Testing the blogger waters with a small sketchdump.

First up, a sketch of me doing what I thought I'd be doing this weekend... except it suddenly went from being beautiful and 80 outside to miserable, windy and about 56. Bleh.

Sitting on my bed one night and staring at the mirror on my closet door. My animation I sketchbook needed more work from life.
I love any excuse to draw a creepy Illusion head.
My best friends' dog, Sirius. he's adorable, and we love him.
